Introduction
EPG Secondary School Overview
EPG Secondary School offers education to the students from Year 7 to Year 11.
In the academic year 2024/25, the secondary school building will facilitate our first Year 12
classes and students will be given the opportunity to write their first external AS/A level
examination series. This is part of a phased expansion of the Salwa School Campus.
The s
Thechool will support the faculty and students to achieve the high standards we aspire to. We
want to provide a holistic education with a strong academic foundation to ensure our students
can be competitive and ready for all possible paths in their futures.
In 2023, we expanded our IGCSE options and registered with the Pearson/EdExcel through the
In
British Council. Cambridge was chosen over others because of their vast global experience and
unwavering support for the schools and teachers they work with provide a cohesive curriculum
that is excellently resourced and planned. In 2024, we will expand an offering further to
accommodate AS/A level.
We are anticipating that the great experience of Cambridge and our initiative and desire for
W
excellence in education will be well met and will provide our students with the perfect learning
springboard for further education.
In
Inline with our desire to ensure our students are progressing and that we are meeting
international standards, we have incorporated the Cambridge Checkpoint Progression Exams
for English and Maths into our calendar for Year 9 students. This is an assessment externally set
and marked by Cambridge. This assessment allows us to evaluate our students effectively before
they progress into KS4. It also gives students the experience of an officially administered exam
and prepares students for the exam process they will face in KS4, IGCSEs and KS5, AS/A level.
