Presenting the 2015 OPHA Ambassador
Well I think I can say, “it’s been a long time coming!!”, but I am excited to finally get to wear a tiara and sash of my own in the 2015 show ring and promote this beautiful breed that brings this close knit family of ours all together. I can remember as a young girl growing up, always admiring the ambassadors over the years; wishing the day would come soon that I could be standing in their position handing out the ribbons to all the winners. By the time I was old enough to take on the position I had gotten much more involved in helping my family’s hitch and was not about to give up my position on the crew even though it had always been my dream to promote our breed across the province. As I find myself gaining interest in my family’s hitch and breeding program more and more every year I realize that this passion and dedication is exactly what an ambassador should have. As I prepare for the show season I am excited to expand my involvement with the association and look forward to getting to more fairs, catching up with old friends as well as meeting new ones.
