Lima – Amazon Cruise

fter the tiring day yesterday we have a really enjoyable sleep in arising at 08:00. We think about joining some
Aof the others, in the group, in walking to the currency exchange, but they had already gone when we went to the
foyer at 09:00. Arranged milk and coffee for our room, and enquired re Internet - free - so we get details and return
to room. Able to logon and check emails (eventually), but system drops out before we can reply - further attempts to
log in fail and hotel site disappears off list!! We relax in our room, then pack for our 12:30 departure.
e are picked up at the hotel on time and taken to the airport only to find our flight has been delayed. We
Weventually board to fly to the remote town of Iquitos, in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon. The tour guides
from the ship are there to meet us at the airport and explain some of the history of the surrounding area as we travel
to our exclusive charter boat, the MV Aria where we board and settle into our luxurious suite.
e meet in the lounge for a briefing prior to dinner at 21:00. During the night we cruise towards the Yanayacu
WRiver, deep in the heart of Amazonia.
