Later on, some crusades were also coordinated in Poso and near-by villages by
Ps. Adri Lamajido. In one of the crusades in a hilly village NJE team departed from the
lodging place as scheduled at 16.00 o’clock and was scheduled to arrive at 18.00 to
18.30 in the evening for the crusade scheduled at 19.00 local time. A heavy rain
suddenly took place and the narrow, ascending and zig-zag road became slippery. The
car driver had to move the car cautiously, slowly and patiently to avoid any possible
accident. Unfortunately, the place and the road areas to the destination were
blank-spot areas. There was no cellphone signal and electricity. The either side of the
road was a forest, a hill or a valley. It was completely dark after 18.00 o’clock. The
team could not communicate to anybody outside, at the destination and in town.
Finally NJE team managed to arrive at the crusade place more than one hour late.
When the team arrived the crusade was already started. And the local pastor, his wife
and their praying team met abruptly the team, weepingly hugged all the team
members, while praising the Lord as well. All team members were surprised with that
‘unusual greeting’. Here was the story: they had thought that NJE’s team were
ambushed and kidnapped by the terrorist gang who often did those things on the
road we had just passed by to get ransums. Wow, the Lord had avoided the team
from any danger or bad luck. Praise to God, to our Lord Jesus Christ!
Healings, miracles and unique events in the crusades also took place in many
other parts of Indonesia. In NJE experiences, deaf-and-mute people were quite often
showed up and got healed in the crusades. These healings happened in several towns
(and provinces) such as in Senakin and Sosok (West Kalimantan), Soe (NTT-East Nusa
Tenggara) etc. In the village of Amanaton (near Soe), God touched and healed many
blind people and lung disease, asthma, hard-breathing suffering people. The number
of healed people was strikingly high and almost all of them wanted to give testimony
on the stage. The local committee had them queing and allowing only a group of
people to ascend onto the stage at each testimony session. Problems started to
happen because the people started to loose their patience in waiting their time to
step on onto the stage. Suddenly more and more people ascended onto the stage
that it started to sound like it would break instantly and immediately. In order to
avoid any possible accident, the testimony session had to be stopped and the long
chain of testimonying people had to be dismissed. That was pity but it had to be
done. Praising the Lord and singing together and clapping the hands for His glory
were started immediately before closing the meeting. Later on, from this province,
from one island Kupang emerged the NTT-1 area coordinator Ps. Bernard Kapitan
S.Th, and also from other islands the coordinator of NTT-2 area Ps. Dolfi Mingkid S.Th
for Sumba-Flores islands.
