                  New York Judiciary Law Section 210.2-3
                       ç2. The administrative board of the courts shall consist of the chief judge, who shall
                  serve as chairman, and the presiding justices of the appellate divisions of the supreme court.
                  The members of the administrative board shall serve without compensation but shall be
                  entitled to reimbursement for expenses actually and necessarily incurred by them in the
                  performance of their duties.

                       3. The chief judge shall appoint, with the advice and consent of the administrative
                  board, a chief administrator of the courts who shall serve at his pleasure. The chief
                  administrator may be a judge or justice of the unified court system, in which event he shall
                  be called the chief administrative judge of the courts, and he shall have all the functions,
                  powers and duties of the chief administrator. He shall receive an annual salary to be fixed
                  by the chief judge within the amount made available therefor by appropriation and he shall
                  be entitled to reimbursement for expenses actually and necessarily incurred by him in the

                  performance of his duties.é
