Magic in the Bathroom
KNOWING IT’S GOING to be a big day, Jaxon darts upstairs to get dressed. But first he has to wash
his face and brush his hair, or his mom will have a fit. And with everything that’s going on, he
doesn’t want to add his mom being mad at him.
Jaxon walks into the bathroom, opens the medicine cabinet on the wall next to the shower,
and notices some things are missing. He doesn’t see his hair brush or the oil for his hair. And
there’s an empty space where his mom’s hot comb usually is.
“What the…Where’s all the hair stuff?” He says out loud to no one, but just in case someone
answers.
“Mornin’, young man.”
Jaxon nearly jumps out of his skin. Even though he was sorta expecting someone, it still
startled him. He wonders if he’s ever gonna get used to this.
“M-m-mornin,” he says, moving backwards towards the door.
