FROM OUR EXPLORERS
As educators, we continually reflect on the environments, experiences and atmosphere we provide within the room. Throughout March we have been critically analysing and assessing what more we can do to encourage the variety of ages, strengths and interests within the room.
We have had a focus on friendship and equality which has stemmed from conversations with the children and families who have been expressing their desire to branch out to a wider network of peers. Our friendship display has been welcomed by the children as they play alongside it within the construction area.
Throughout the month we have been taking more of an emergent approach as spontaneous aspects of play come up regularly! We love family input and what each family brings to the room through Kinderloop and concrete resources also. The children always experience joy and pride when they have something to share and contribute. With this in mind, we have been making time to listen carefully to our explorers and share in their view of the world by incorporating their child led play into our intentional teaching.
Throughout April we will be continuing to reflect on our practice and as always love to incorporate family input everyday! We are so excited to welcome the new members of our room (Max, Nash, Georgie, Halle, Anna, Sophia, Lachlan and Mikayla) and cannot wait to bring you along this new journey with us. For our families who are already Explorers, thank you for your continued support and feedback, it helps us create the best environment for everyone.
