Don’t Mind it. I already got the hang of it.
JZ: I actually liked what you said about the car. Not many people say nice things about my big
brother’s crappy old car.
Camille: I’m sorry about how I acted. Most guys aren’t as nice as you.
JZ: Don’t Mind it. I already got the hang of it.
Camille: I work at a nearby call center company.
JZ: I’ve never heard of it.
Camille: It’s called ABC Company. I was just bored, maybe lonely too.
JZ: I feel the same way. I’ve been bumming the whole day.
Camille: Oh yeah. Don’t you like watching movies?
JZ: I would like to, but I got better things to do.
Camille: Okay. Maybe I’ll ask you some other time.
JZ: Would you like coffee or anything else to drink?
Camille: That would be nice, but I don’t drink coffee.
JZ: We could have soda or juice then instead.
Camille: I think I’ll just have a bite at the food station near our office.
JZ: Why don’t you seem to like going along with me?
Camille: No, it’s not like that, but as you have said a while ago, much as I would like to, but I got
better things to do.
JZ: Alright, you finally got me there. I’m sorry if my opinion had hurt you.
Camille: Oh no, that’s your opinion. Everybody is entitled to his/her own opinion.
JZ: Yes, I know that but I would really love to eat with you sometime.
Camille: Let me think about it. I honestly think that for my safety, I shouldn’t talk to strangers.
1. Why is it good to respond to an opinion?
Sample answer:
Responding to one’s opinion is necessary. It makes people understand how you feel.
We just have to remember to be courteous and be precise of our words. Response
should be delivered with appropriate tone to properly convey the message.
