Chapter 3 Campus Life
Unit 5: Joining School Projects
School projects are usual requirements in some subjects. The best thing about it is
that it develops the students’ creativity and teaches them to work collectively. Give a
short narration about a school project that influenced you in some ways.
Answer A:
Last year, the university student council was able to organize a relief mission for the victims of
natural calamities in different parts of the world. It was a year-long project. We were able to raise
cash donations and to gather basic goods. We contacted some civic organizations who could
help us in sending the relief to Haiti and other countries needing our help. We were sent some
pictures of the families who received the aid we sent. The council posted the pictures on the
bulletin board for the studentry to see. Several student organizations suggested that we carry on
with the project and make it a continuous activity. We were happy for the positive reaction. As a
member of the student council, I felt good not only because we initiated this noble task, but also
because of spearheading a project that enlightened the students.
Points to emphasize in answering:
Start by mentioning the name of the project and its proponent.
