Treating someone to Lunch 식사대접 Lesson8
Dialog
Kim Help yourself, please.
Brown Thanks. There are many different kinds of dishes. And it all looks so
delicious.
Kim The rice and soup are basics. Along with them, different kinds of side
dishes called "banchan" are served.
Brown I see. That makes for an enjoyable mix of tastes.
Kim That's exactly right.
Brown Oh, excuse me. I dropped a chopstick. I'm not quite able to use them
well yet.
Kim No, no, you're doing fine. Here, please take another one. Have you had
much experience using chopsticks?
Brown Oh, in the U.S., there are many Chinese and other Asian food
restaurants, so I've had plenty of opportunities to try them.
I
Kim see. And what about some of the dishes in our set meal? Are any of
them too hot for you?
Brown A few are pretty spicy, but they're all delicious.
Kim I'm glad to hear that.
Kim So, did you enjoy the food?
Brown Absolutely. It was great fun trying a little bit of this and a little bit of
that.
Kim Which dish did you like the most?
Brown All of them were good. But if I had to choose one, I'd say that stew
with soy paste was the best.
Kim Oh, you mean, "Doenjang jjigae." I'm glad you liked it so much.
