Wildlife Corridors: Connecting the Dots
Banff National Park
The highway has thirty-eight underpasses and six
overpasses. They allow animals to move freely and safely
from one side to the other. The crossings have reduced
wildlife accidents by over four-fifths. Over 160,000 animals
had been recorded using the crossings as of 2014.
