Evidence Write a Letter of Apology
PROMPT
In All Summer in a Day you read about how William and the other children bullied
Margot. William locked Margot in a closet and caused her to miss her only chance in
seven years to see the sun.
Imagine you are William and you feel terrible about how you treated Margot. Write a
short but heartfelt apology letter to Margot. State two or three reasons why you feel
bad for what you did to her. Use details from the story to support your reasoning.
