PLAN Gather Information.

How will the characters behave in your narrative? Revisit the texts as you think about

the characters’ strengths and weaknesses, as well as how the characters will use their
personal skills and experiences to find the missing dog.

In the story map below, outline the main parts of your narrative. Identify traits of the

characters from two different texts and give details about how they plan to solve the
problem. Record where and when these characters will first meet. Then write what will
