Electrical Firm Utilizes Student Talent to help with Limestone
College Library Project
Broome High School senior Aiden Jackson is participating in a DMTC work-based learn-
ing co-op with Walker & Whiteside,
Inc. Walker & Whiteside, Inc. is an
electrical contracting firm located in
Greenville, SC. This opportunity de-
veloped because Aiden completed
the DMTC Electricity program. Aiden
is currently working a full schedule at
Limestone University on a building
project for the new library. He is
gaining valuable training and devel-
oping his skills through this educa-
tion and business partnership.
District 3 IT Department Provides
WBL Opportunity for DMTC Student
Caleb Batten is participating in a Work-Based
Learning experience with Spartanburg School
District 3’s IT Department. Caleb is a senior at
Broome High School and completed the Pro-
gramming and Software Development program
at DMTC. He has been assessing the condition
of “retired” district laptops to determine if the
equipment is in need of any repairs. Caleb also
completed a co-op in the fall with IT Pros, a
Spartanburg-based company that offers IT so-
lutions to local businesses.
