The Grand national
The Glorious 12th
And at Polo grounds around the UK and overseas.
While we realise that at some events Champagne is the chosen drink and at others Pimms or G&T may the norm St Maur with its history and tradition is looking to compliment not replace.
As part of this year round promotion the aim could be to target specific events and position St Maur along side that event in an honest and importantly authentic way. Having seen the work I have done with country focused brands and my insistence on using real people to show products in use ie real country people who actually shoot wearing clothes that are designed for a job rather than using beautiful models who never set a perfectly clean Purdey boot outside of Chelsea let alone in the field where there is mud, dogs and guns.
You may have seen some of the still life images I have produced with English best guns alongside birds, dogs and boots and this same style will be developed. As such we are not looking for known faces to promote the brand but more subtly create images that place the St Maur bottle also side for example a Leander Blaser and oars for Henley, A horse racing saddle, colours and owners tags for racing, a traditional wooden tennis racket and jumper for Wimbledon and so on.
As you have already seen I have clients who are very well known in the Polo world having competed for England etc at the highest level and they have kindly given me the use of everything in their tack room! a pair of well used boots, helmet, gloves etc to set up a tabletop still life with a bottle of St Maur. They also own a number of high level venters who have competed at the highest level around the world os again a bottle with tack and trophies etc. They have also been kind enough when I mentioned the idea to introduce me to their racing stables where again we can set up a scenario with racing saddle, helmet, racing colours etc. In addition I have secured the use of a boat, oars and Leander blazer from Henley and so on.
These shoots alone would look great in the run up to Royal Ascot, Cheltenham (next year) Henley regatta and the boat race, and the Polo events at Guards Polo Ground etc.
