 Tips !




 Use a combination of regular and watercolour pencil.


 Work in layers.

 When blending the colours together go the opposite direction of the previous
 colour to make blending more smooth.


 Darker background will make the drawing look more realistic.

 Use colour pencil for the outline instead of regular pencil so that it will blend
 with the shading .

 Faber castell tri colour pencil
 faber castell watercolour pencil
 eraser .

             This is a velvet shank mushroom ,it resembles a freshly baked buns and is edible too.This
             Mushroom is a perfect study for pencil colour as it has a lot of challenge in finding the
             correct colour for the highlights and shadows .Despite being brown in colour it uses a
             lot of colour range to match the colour it has. The reflection on the top of the cap has a
             blue hue to it instead of white from the velvety texture of the mushroom .It has a dark
 watercolour pencil  regular pencilcolour  top but a slow decline in gradient towards the brim of the mushroom ,you can learn to
             control pressure and colour gradient by following this tutorial . Time taken 7 hours.
