Pre-COVID, Maccaferri photographed many area events including
those sponsored by the town of Plymouth, the chamber of
commerce, Plymouth 400, local businesses and nonprofits.
“Taking photos of my beloved hometown of Plymouth since
2007, has resulted in a collection of images which represent the
wonderful life and culture of this great community,” explains
Maccaferri.
Maccaferri’s fine art photography pieces hang regularly in the
Plymouth Center for the Arts and Duxbury Art Association. The
Plymouth Public Library has a collection of her work, all about
Plymouth, in honor of the Plymouth 400 commemoration. The
show’s opening coincided with the town shut down, but will
become the first exhibit once the restrictions end.
In the meantime, Denise Maccaferri uses her time to improve and
learn new skills related to studio lighting and photo editing. She
also bought a drone to expand her photography opportunities,
and is learning how to fly and capture images with her new tool.
When events and performances resume, the photographer and
her camera will be ready. Until then, thousands of moments live
on for all to enjoy and experience, thanks to Denise Maccafferi.
