An Evening with Sons of Serendip to Benefit the Phil

WITH PREMIERE For the first time ever, the Phil will present a virtual
music event on Saturday, December 12 from 6 pm to
th
PERFORMANCES BY 9 pm, a night of non-stop music and holiday cheer.

With the traditional Holiday Pops shelved along with
every other in-person group event, the Phil turned to
their friends, Sons of Serendip, for an alternative plan.

Sons of Serendip was scheduled to perform a
benefit show for the Phil in January 2021, an encore
performance to their much loved early 2020
concert. Rather than cancel the upcoming concert
due to restrictions, Kim Corben re-imagined their
performance as a special holiday show.

“I saw their holiday concert last year in person, and it
was simply beautiful, “explains Corben. “Between the
vocals and instrumentation, they transform holiday
classics into something spiritual. It’s exactly what we
need this season.”

Sons of Serendip perform their full-length concert
full of seasonal favorites. To add a little Phil magic,
Steven Karidoyanes hosts this evening of music, which
includes remote performances by the
Phil’s own musicians and some special
guests poppin’ in as well as.

“While this is a three-hour show, there’s
so much music planned!” adds Corben.
