Preface

As there are introductions of new techniques, methods and procedures and advancement

in nursing procedures; the need for subsequent revision of procedure manuals on nursing
is considered essential. There are wide differences in using standard procedures and

specific materials for a specific procedure among teaching institutes, trainees and trainers;
the curriculum is being revised repeatedly, therefore it is believed to be mandatory to

prepare holistic Procedure tool to demonstrate skill in the skill laboratory. This book will
be used for nursing students from level II to level-III trainees as well as it will serve as

bench mark for teachers or tutors, more over it will help trainees to demonstrate skill

independently.

The objective of preparing this module is to provide access of a simple clear manual in
the skill laboratory and library to equip the trainers and trainees with up-to-date

procedure manual to aquire basic knowledge on each procedures and demonstrate skill
in nursing procedures of all levels.

This nursing skill lab tool included more than 100 nursing procedures, 18 units including
basic, intermediate and advanced nursing skill. Level based TVET standard is considered

by the author and contributors.
