Saturday morning started with a student organized and led Presentation of our Nations Colors with all this
week’s participants present before breakfast. The program led by Cadet Master Chief Petty Officer Donald
Maggott, included the presentation and raising of a brand-new American Flag, the National Anthem sung by
student Kamren Lott, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Next the student honor guard raised the 13
original colony flags, arranged in a circle around the main flagpole. The ceremony culminated with “a Toast
to the Flag”, presented by National Commander, Brother Peter Cauchon and Americanism Chairman, Brother
Max Schell.

Immediately following breakfast, the Saturday sessions kicked off with a rousing presentation of “Building
the Flag”, led by the Valley Forge Camp, Heroes of ’76. This has become an annual tradition for these local
brethren, and we owe them a huge debt of gratitude.
