Light Horse Harry Lee Camp (Old Dominion #364). On 31 March 2021 nine members of the Camp gathered at Masonic Lodge
#217, Springfield, Virginia to conduct a Bivouac for an outstanding Recruit: Bro. David Bella, Alexandria-Washington Lodge #22.
Bro. Terry Gigure, acting CDR; presided over the event. Bros. Barry Bartley, CoS presented the Monitor Flag Lecture and Joshua
Jenkins, ACos; provided the Medal Lecture. Bros. Charles Wagner, Jack Canard, PP; and Aaron Irvin, 3rdVP recounted the contri-
butions of famous Masonic Revolutionary War heroes. Bros. Michael Huff and Howard Sobel, Area Rep. superbly conducted the
recruit through his ordeals. Bro. Les Albers, Adj., coordinated the music for the ceremony and recited the Toast to the Flag and the
Bennington Flag Lecture. The dress of the Heroes gave the Recruit a variety of impressions upon which to develop his personal
appearance: Three Tricorns, Three hunting frock field uniforms, and three in full dress regimentals. This Recruit made a most
favorable impression on the Camp and will be a welcome addition to our order.

Israel Putnam – Nathan Hale Camp (Knickerbocker-West
                                  th
Point Chapter #13). On July 4 LTC (ret) Jack Moore donned
his Heroes uniform and drafted his two grandsons to sail around
their summer home on the south shore of Long Island, NY. One
drove the outboard on their Boston Whaler while the other grand-
son carried the Bennington Flag and LTC Moore stood on the
bow of the boat waving his Army saber and wishing all the neigh-
bors and fellow boaters a Happy Independence Day. Though he
was in the Great South Bay, many onlookers thought he was look-
ing for the Delaware River. Moore joked with his neighbors that
                                                      th
he and his grandsons had done this before on December 25 , but
nobody was around to appreciate their efforts. Neighbors are
already asking for a repeat performance next year.
