18 THE SOJOURNER
KNICKERBOCKER – WEST POINT #13, LTC
Jack H. Moore, Secretary, jackmoore511@gmail.com.
On Sunday, 13 June chapter members and guests met for brunch at the historic ’76 House in Tappan, NY. The ’76 House is noted as
the oldest Tavern in America and the place Major John Andre was held during his imprisonment and trial before his subsequent hang-
ing during the Revolutionary War. Members held a moment of silence for fellow Sojourner & Regional Representative George Em-
mons who recently passed. Following brunch, Bro. Ted H. Jacobsen, Pres. discussed several topics that will be discussed at the up-
coming National Convention that he will be attending in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Input was being sought from fellow Sojourners on
voting methods and several other key
issues. Before adjourning, Secretary Moore reminded all the upcoming summer picnic planned for Sunday, 29 August, at Round Pond
(West Point) with Brethren from West Point Masonic Lodge #877, as we have done in years past. Left side: Photo of the ’76 House.
