HEROES AMONG US BROTHER COL FRANK W. HARRIS III PNP LOH
A special program was conducted on the evening of July 17,
2021, in the Martha Washington Building at Freedoms
Foundation Valley Forge. The narrator of the program was
Colonel Ly T. Fecteau USMC. The program goals were to
Honor Brother Colonel Frank W. Harris III for his great
accomplishments during his thirty-four years in the U.S.
Marine Corps and his continued commitment to the service
of others after his retirement from the Marine Corps.
A review of his USMC career was presented and among his
numerous awards are the Legion of Merit with Combat “V”,
the Bronze Star Medal with Combat “V”, the Meritorious
Service Medal, and the Purple Heart with two Gold Stars.
His involvement with the Boy Scouts and other youth or-
ganizations to include Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge
were mentioned.
The highlight of the evening was when David Harmer, CEO
of Freedoms Foundation, presented Brother Harris with the
“George Washington Honor Medal”. This is a very prestig-
ious award and Brother Harris is well deserved of having
received it.
