currently the Grand Senior Deacon. He is the Chairman of the Grand Lodge of Georgia’s Publications
Committee, responsible for the publication of the Masonic Messenger.
Brother Coffey served the Most Worshipful Grand Master as the District Deputy to the Grand Master for
District 10B, as a member of the Educational and Historical Commission and formerly served as the Masonic
Education and Leadership Development Director for District 10C. As a member of a small team, Brother
Coffey developed the curriculum for the Georgia Masonic Leadership Conference and is a primary Lecturer,
presenting material on Lodge Renewal at the conferences. He was then appointed as the Curriculum Director
for the Conference. Brother Coffey developed a Masonic Education course on the Symbolism of the Three
Degrees which is now part of the Grand Lodge curriculum.
Brother Coffey became a 32º Scottish Rite Mason in 1984 in the Valley of Savannah and was Invested with

Knight Commander of the Court of Honor (KCCH) in 1997, he was coronated a 33 Degree Inspector
General Honorary in 2021 in the Valley of Augusta. He is an active Life Member of the Valley of Savannah,
where he has served on the Executive Committee, as Wise Master of the Knights Rose Croix, and for many

years as the Master of Ceremonies for the 18 Degree during Reunions (and other parts). He served as
President of the East Georgia Scottish Rite Association in 1997. Brother Coffey is also a life member of the

Valley of Augusta and served as the Degree Director for the 30 Degree and VMAP Chairman; WB Coffey
was awarded Educator of the Year in 2016. He served as Venerable Master of the Lodge of Perfection in 2021,

Class Director, Degree Communicator, and Master of Ceremonies in the 18 Degree Conferral Team.
Brother Coffey is a Noble of the Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine and a member of Alee
Temple in Savannah. He is past President of the Hinesville/Ft. Stewart Shrine Club (1997.) He joined the
Augusta Shrine Club in 2017.
Brother Coffey is retired Army Officer, he served 21 years in the United States Army, rising from the rank of
Private to Chief Warrant Officer Three. He served in Germany, Korea, Texas, California, Virginia, and
Georgia. Following retirement, Brother Coffey continued to serve as a defense contractor, deploying several
times to the Middle East in support of the U.S. Army, including during the invasion of Iraq in 2003. In 2009,
he managed over 100 personnel supporting deployed forces in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait. He currently
works as a Program Manager of defense contracts supporting our Military.
Brother Coffey has been happily married to Lady Wendy Coffey, Grand Dame, for over 42 years and is the
father of Jarrod and Valinda. Wendy was a Job’s Daughter and is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Shortly after they were married, Wendy turned to Brian and said, “You need to talk to my Daddy about
Freemasonry.” And here we are! His son, Jarrod is a Past Master of Martinez Lodge #710, Worshipful Master

of Clarence H. Cohen Daylight Lodge #749 for the second consecutive year, an Officer in the 10 Masonic
District Convention, a Masonic Education and Leadership Development Director, a Scottish Rite Mason, and a
member of the Knights of St. Andrew in the Valley of Augusta. He was elected to receive the rank and honor
of Knight Commander of the Court of Honor in 2021. Brother Jarrod Coffey serves the National Sojourners as
a member of the Committee of 33, National Photographer and National Musician, Heroes of ’76. He is a Past
Chapter President and Past Camp Commander and has served as Secretary/Adjutant. His daughter, Valinda is a
Camp Follower and taught school in Florida, her husband, Josh Williams, launches rockets, he is a newly
Raised Master Mason in Florida and will be joining National sojourners soon. His Father-in-Law, Wayne
Barnes, is 33º Degree Scottish Rite Mason; DDGM; Past Master; Past Venerable Master, Lodge of Perfection;
Past National President National Sojourners, Past President, and Past Commander of Hunter Chapter #502, he
has served as Area Rep, Chairman Education & Training Committee, and a Member of Committee of 33; Past
President of the Shrine Club. Brother Coffey’s brother-in-law, Jim Huntley is a National Sojourner, and his
sister-in-law Cindy and niece Ainsley are Camp Followers.
Brother Coffey is a Lewis, a Mason that is the son of a Mason. His father, Bob Coffey was a PM; 32º
Degree; DDGM; DeMolay Chapter Dad. His brother Trebor (Trey) was DeMolay; PM, 32º Degree. and
DeMolay Chapter Dad.
