3) Bacterial growth in the supernatant of crop bacteria.
Cultures of strains 1, 6, 7 and b, c, d, e were centrifuged at 2000rpm for 10 minutes. A 0.2µm filter was used
to purify the supernatant. 5mL of MRS and NB broths containing 10% honey were added to conical tubes. 50
㎕ of each supernatant was mixed into the tubes, and the crop bacteria strains were cultured in the media at 30℃
for 4 days. Their absorbance at 600nm was observed and compared with the controls’ growth, which did not
contain supernatants.
Strain 1 showed to weakly repress the growth of a few strains (2, 4, 8, 10, 11, 12), while strains 6 and 7
effectively regulated the growth of all other crop bacteria. Strain 6 showed especially high repression, as it
eliminated the growth of a few strains.
