Potted Succulents with Grey Fox Felting

Saturday, November 23, 2024, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Part 2: Create your own Wool Felted Succulent
Class Description: In this beginner-friendly workshop, azure arts and Grey Fox Felting invite you to learn both ceramic
and wool felting techniques. Each workshop will take place separately, but the two projects will culminate into a final “potted
succulent!”
In Part 1 of the workshop, Christina Milliman of azure arts will guide you in creating, decorating, and glazing a beautiful
pot from flat slabs of clay. Decorating techniques including carving, stamping, and hand painting will be introduced. Each
process whether used on its own or in combination will result in a pot that expresses your personality. Pots will be glazed in
the workshop, fired twice, and ready when you arrive for the felting portion of this two-part workshop.
Join Erin Gardner of Grey Fox Felting for Part 2 of the Potted Succulents Workshop, where you will learn to needle felt your
own unique succulent to "plant" in your handmade ceramic pot.
No felting experience is needed, and you will be guided step by step through the process and techniques of needle felting to
create your wool succulent. All materials are included, and you will be provided with a colorful selection of wool to choose
from, so you can make your succulent uniquely yours!
This is the perfect opportunity to learn two new artistic skills in a creative, collaborative, and beautiful atmosphere!
Skill Level: Beginner-friendly. Previous experience is not required. Ages 12+*

concentrate for several hours."
Workshop Fee: $120 for the 2-part workshop. The fee includes all materials and kiln firings.
