Melissa Podoll

Director of Design

After graduating from North Dakota State University with a Bachelors in Interior Design and a
minor in Business and Facilities Management, Melissa Podoll started her career as an Interior
Designer at Pigott, a Herman Miller dealership in Des Moines, IA. After 5 years with Pigott,
Melissa was ready to leave the snow and cold behind for a great opportunity with JC White in
sunny South Florida. Her level of communication, collaboration and detail made her one of JC
White’s top designers where she now manages a team of 18.

She loves collaborating with clients, sales, architects and other designers to come up with the
best solutions for clients. “I enjoy detail-oriented work, which is required for our designs and
specifications. I also enjoy the teaching aspect of my position and educating others with the
knowledge I have”.

Melissa enjoys working on corporate projects like American Express (completed in 2017) which
was a 2500+ station project that included private offices and ancillary spaces. “This was a
complex project that required us to be very detailed and organized. We worked closely with
the client to determine their needs for the space and translated those needs into an efficient
and functional yet inviting space. We were able to be creative with our solutions and the
client valued our partnership”.
