While attending Florida State University, Katie Oliver accepted a position as a design intern for JC White
during the summer of 2015. During this time, she learned the intricacies of commercial furniture
specification and workplace design. Her ability to grasp these concepts so quickly proved that she had
the skills needed to grow and advance as a designer in the industry of contract furniture. After
graduating with a bachelor’s degree in interior design in 2016, she came back to JC White to work as a
full-time designer.
Since then, Katie has gained a substantial amount of experience working on major projects and client
account and has become an integral part of the JC White design support department. She contributes
a fresh approach and innovative perspective to the projects she works on. Katie enjoys witnessing how
her work positively affects her clients’ use of space. “It is so rewarding to see that I was able to suggest
product solutions that achieved the change they wanted to create. At the end of our projects, clients
are always so grateful for all of our hard work that went into creating an enjoyable space for them.”
