FROM THE CSM OF THE CORPS (Cont’d)

The Finance Corps is also integrating Financial Management (FM) systems into the Army’s Next
        lllkkkkkk
Generation Command & Control (NGC2) system. NGC2 is a “full stack” ecosystem consisting of
data, applications, and systems to support decision-making across all Army echelons. NGC2
streamlines operations, enhances situational awareness, and enables better and faster decisions to
improve readiness and lethality. Currently General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) data
is feeding into NGC2 but not being pushed back into GFEBS at this time. GFEBS is working on
establishing the capability for 2-way application programming interface (API). This 2-way API will
allow users to process transactions for GFEBS on NGC2 allowing for live reporting to Commanders
for data driven decision space. The next step is to get initial approval for 1-way API from our other
FM systems such as the Deployed Disbursing System, then work towards 2-way API. NGC2 is a
potential option in replacing our legacy Financial Management Tactical Platform (FMTP).
Formations across the Finance Corps are actively testing NGC2 and integrating FM systems during
          various exercises.
The road ahead is one of continuous evolution. The changes we are embracing today will require

us to be more adaptable, more technically proficient, and more strategically minded than ever
before. I challenge each of you to lean into this transformation. Master the new systems, embrace
the new training methodologies, and never lose sight of our fundamental mission: to support and
serve the Soldiers of this great Army with the unwavering precision and integrity that has always
been the hallmark of the Finance Corps.
