Prior service: There are no prior service requirements for this program.

Clearance: At a minimum, applicants must possess a Secret security clearance.
Potential: A review of the candidate's CMF must reflect that the candidate has the potential for
future, long term service, as determined by HRC.

Interest/agreement of study: Candidates must express specific interest in training by submitting a
formal application.

Development: Service members must be qualified for promotion or recently promoted to where TWI
participation will not place the service member at risk for promotion to the next rank.

Minimum academic requirements: Applicants must meet or exceed the academic requirements
determined by the TWI Organization for each fiscal year of competition.

Height/Weight standards: Applicants must meet height/weight requirements, in accordance with
AR 600-9.
Flagging: Must not be flagged for any reason.

12. CONUS stationed Soldiers must meet an 18-month time-on-station requirement by the end of
the TWI application window. Soldiers stationed overseas are required to complete their tour and
should only apply if they are within 6 months of their DEROS or have an approved curtailment IAW
AR 614-30.

If selected for a TWI assignment, Soldiers DEROS dates will be extended/curtailed to allow for travel
and transportation to their TWI location.
13. Following the completion of the TWI experience, Soldiers are placed in positions that
leverage the skills learned while training and working with industry. Participating Soldiers will incur
a service remaining requirement of 30 months upon completion of their TWI training assignment, 24
months to be served in their utilization assignment and an additional 6 months in accordance with
the needs of the Army per AR 614-200, Table 4

14. Additional eligibility requirements: Other eligibility requirements are applicable as
determined upon notification of fiscal year competition.
CMF 36 eligibility requirements as follows based on MOS:

SFC/36B – Have at least a bachelor’s degree and have operational finance experience.

Application Processing Instructions:

Submit a Admin corrections Personnel Action Request (PAR) in IPPS-A. PAR (Personnel Action) –
with the information below:

programs you wish to compete for in order of your preference).

I understand that if I am selected to participate in the Training with Industry (TWI) program, as
outlined in AR 621-1, I will incur a service remaining requirement (SRR), IAW AR 635-200, in the
United States Army for a period of three times the length of the service period, computed in days,
that I am educated under the provisions of my program. Completion of 24-month Utilization
Assignment. I have read and will comply with the U.S. Army Human Resources Command TWI
Student Handbook.
