Two Wins for Dufferin Concrete at the 2020 Ontario Concrete Awards
Every year, through the Concrete Ontario Awards, the Ontario Concrete Industry acknowledges excellence and innovation. Whether large or small companies, the Ontario Concrete Awards honour the visions of some of the most creative projects the province has to offer. We are very honoured to have two wins this year for Dufferin Concrete:
 Shotcrete Mix, which satisfied all the strict specifications and construction requirements to withstand summer and winter conditions, with stabilization times that reached a maximum of 18 hours, used at the CrossLink Elington LRT Project.
 E-ticketing, a new solution that eliminates the need for paper tickets, ticket scanning, and ticket storage. Ticket information is available via the driver’s tablet which customers can review, add comments to and sign before submission.
Congratulations to all the teams involved!
Demix Béton, Winner of 2020 Command Alkon ELEVATE Award
We would like to congratulate the Demix Béton team, for their well deserved ELEVATE Award in the category COMMANDOptimize.
Since the implementation of this technology,
the teams have demonstrated deep knowledge to better leverage the numerous functions of the tool, while taking into consideration the specifics regarding our employees and customers, regulations constraints, and of course, lately, the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic. Congratulations team!
Dufferin Construction Garrison Crossing Project Wins Canadian Consulting Engineering Award
Building healthy and vibrant communities is part of what we do. We are very happy to see the Garrison Crossing recognized and very proud of our Dufferin Construction crews for their tremendous work!
The project represents a key step towards improving connectivity and accessibility in and around Toronto’s fast- growing downtown communities. It provides an important new multi-use trail that connects Wellington Street in the north with Fort York’s Garrison Common in the south, establishing a stronger link between Toronto’s neighbourhoods and the waterfront. Inspired by the meandering alignment of the original Garrison Creek, the crossing is highlighted by two landmark tilted-arch bridges over the existing railway lines.
