Heater and AC- Control Mechanism Assembly

Replacement

1. Disassemble control mechanism assembly
(a). Screw off the bolt and take out control mechanism assembly (refer to “Chapter 73
Instrument panel/combined meters/cigar liter-Instrument panel, Replacement).
(b). Open the clip and disassemble the
control cable of defroster.
Notes:
Be careful and do not bend the cable. The
control to control mechanism will become
difficult if the cable is bent.
(c). Open the clip by screwdrive to disassemble
the mixed throttle control cable.

control to control mechanism will become
difficult if the cable is bent.
2. Assemble the control mechanism
assembly
(a). Assemble mixed throttle control cable
onto throttle control rod and clip.
Notes:
Be careful and do not bend the cable. The
control to control mechanism will become
difficult if the cable is bent.
Hint:
Operate the control rod of mixed throttle, and
move the mixed throttle to the coldest and the
hottest positions; check if they are at correct
positions and not rebounded.
Check if there is movement when cable is pulled. 51
(b). Assemble control cable of defroster onto
control rod and clip.
Notes:
Be careful and do not bend the cable. The
control to control mechanism will become
difficult if the cable is bent.
Hint:
Operate the control rod of defroster, and check if
they are at correct positions and not rebounded
when it is moved to specified position.
Check if there is movement when cable is pulled.
(c). Connect the insert part to assemble control
mechanism assembly (refer to “Chapter 73
Instrument panel/combined meters/cigar
liter-Instrument panel, Replacement).
