Rear axle- Rear wheel hub with brake drum assembly
• The brake shoe lining and the brake drum must be
inspected for wear after driving for 40,000 Km or
24 months.
• Measure the thickness of the wear at the most
serious part of the brake shoe lining.

If the thickness of brake shoe lining is less than the
limit value, the replacement of a new one is required.
3. NOTESfor the maintenance of rear axle assembly.
(a). If one of the mating parts needs to be replaced, the complete set of parts must be replaced.
(b). All the rubber parts (such as O-ring, oil seal, gasket, etc.) can not be used again after removing.
(c). Check the appearance of all the parts carefully through visual inspection, using red lead
powder or other designated methods to see whether the following shortcomings exist:
Irregular wear Partial wear Abrasion Crack
Deformity Flexural deformation Looseness Rusting
Color changes or Lose effectiveness or Abnormal noises Transformation (brake

unsmooth blockage weaken (spring) (bearing) shoe lining)
(d). Make sure that all the parts are clean without oil stain or iron chips during the assembly and
installation of main reducing gear assembly. Unless otherwise specified, No. 10 engine oil shall be
used for lubrication before operation.
4. Notes for the use of vehicles
(a). Do not overload, the loading of the vehicle shall not exceed the maximum loading weight.
(b). Do not allow increase the obstacle clearance ability through the abrupt lifting of clutch
during the driving.
Hint:
The abrupt lifting of clutch during the driving may cause impact on the gear so as to result in damage.
