5. This warranty does not cover:
a) Any vehicle which has been subject to excessive use, insufficient maintenance, careless handling or accident, or incorrect
operation (e.g. exceeding load capacity, engine overload etc.) not in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations,
which has not been periodically inspected and serviced as per specifications provided in the User Manual and Warranty
& Service Information Booklet.

i. Any defect due to repair or service executed to the vehicle at a Service Workshop other than that of an Authorised
Foton Dealer.
ii. Any defect due to an unsatisfactory repair or service executed to the vehicle by a Service Workshop of an Authorised
Foton Dealer Network.
iii. Any defect due to the use of a part or parts, which are not Foton genuine or authorised products.
iv. Any defect caused by modifications or additions not previously approved by Foton in writing.
v. Any defect caused by use of non-approved fluids, chemicals or lubricants.

vi. Any defect caused by contaminated or poor-quality fuel.
vii. Any vehicle that is domiciled outside New Zealand.
viii. Any defect caused by insufficient maintenance.

ix. Failing to maintain the vehicle in accordance with this Warranty & Service Information Booklet (Maintenance
Schedule), including proof of servicing. (NOTE: A digitally generated tax invoice documenting scheduled
maintenance is required for warranty approval).

b) Any insignificant defect including;

i. Very small or low sound or vibration which does not affect the driver or is deemed to be within commercial tolerances.
ii. Very slight seepage of oil or the like around packing and/or oil seals which does not decrease significantly the quantity
of the oil in various component pans.
