The Interpreter tells the story of two different worlds in a constant struggle to

defend themselves against one another. One world (Diego), treading water for
decades in forgotten communities controlled by gang members and drug dealers,

the reverberate victims of the failed and decaying war on drugs, all seen and

heard through the wire, ordered and financed by the other (Sam) mostly
privileged people who may not share the same fears, but certainly share the

same hopes of love, safety and success.

It’s a tale of disparity, the imbalance between socio-economic classes, races,
neighborhoods, families, and government, wherein absolute power, when left

                     unchecked, can corrupt absolutely.

We are currently at a pivotal time in American history. Heated national debates

on immigration, racism, and the long painful history of police brutality against
minorities have given rise to violent protests at a scale comparable to the civil

rights and anti-war movements of the 60’s.
