English is the main language used on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WeChat

and others. In addition, the students stated that Facebook can be used as a learning tool for them
to communicate with outsiders because a large number of young people use social media such as

Facebook (Universiti Sains Malaysia, n.d.). It can be concluded that learning English can help and
facilitate the life of an individual in social, economic and political terms.

The third benefit in learning English is that this language is used worldwide as a modern
language today. According to Reddy and Mahavidyalaya (2016), English is used broadly by the

international business community. As we know, businessmen nowadays totally use this language
to keep discussions about their business planning. This is also to ensure communication between

most businessmen across national borders can keep the consistency of overseas business. Besides,

English is very crucial for higher education and specialized training. Due to the many books of
various subjects being translated into English, the language has been used by most universities

around the world. Furthermore, English is also very important for someone who wants to get a job
and a better salary. This is because people who are able to understand and speak fluently in English

are necessary for the company, especially for companies that have associations with international
companies. Thus, this is to make it easier for them to get a job. As most of us know, English is

necessary for getting easy access to any information. For example, almost all information gained

from Google is used English. We can simply conclude that English is a language which brings
benefit to all the speakers globally.
