he children in the Music club were thrilled as they played and sang, striking and shaking various percus-
sion instruments. Playing these instruments demands a high level of physical coordination. Through
shaking Maracas or Tambourines and striking the Xylophone, the children also practised creating rhyth-
mic patterns and movements, synchronizing their actions with the beats of the music.
These activities help develop the ability to select and extrapolate phonemes, syllables, words, and phras-
es from an ongoing speech stream, which is essential for music or dance and language and communica-
tion skills. They also develop hand-eye coordination, refine fine motor skills, and improve agility. More-
over, it was a fantastic opportunity for teamwork, and they excelled at it.
