PLAYGROUP
The playgroup and pre-playgroup children had an exciting and engaging experience learning about
various fruits and vegetables. They actively participated in buying fruits and vegetables, which
helped them refine their fine motor skills as they grasped, handled, and examined different objects.
Introducing a simple form of currency, like play money, not only adds a rudimentary understanding
of math but also provides a practical learning experience as children engage in transactions, enhanc-
ing their numerical awareness. Shopping in a playgroup is not just a mundane task, but a vibrant
learning experience for young minds. It serves as an interactive platform for children to develop
various skills, including social, cognitive, and motor skills. As they embark on this adventure, this
imaginative play promotes language development as they communicate with peers and are exposed
to the real world, fostering essential life skills.
The children also became little chefs preparing fruit juice, kebabs, and vegetable salad while
role-playing as chefs. This was a fun and imaginative experience. Activities like chopping, peeling,
and skewering improved their hand-eye coordination and dexterity. While squeezing fruit for juice
helped strengthen their hand muscles.. They explored a variety of textures, smells, and tastes, which
enhanced their sensory development. Additionally, these activities encouraged teamwork and fos-
tered social interaction skills.
