he Regent Secondary School recently held
                its Inter-House Cooking Competition, and
Tlet’s just say the students can cook! As part
of the Regent Challenge, the event encouraged
teamwork, independence, and, of course, great This time, the theme

This time, the theme was Nigerian cuisine, and
                                                                         and participants had
participants had no idea what they would be
making until they stepped into the kitchen.
Despite the surprise, they rose to the challenge, no idea what they
whipping up impressive dishes that had the would be making until

The competition was tough, but the students
                                                                         kitchen.
put their best plates forward. The judging was
based on taste, execution, and plating. Some
dishes were so good they probably deserve a
          spot on a restaurant menu

In the end, the winning house celebrated their

well-earned victory, but everyone walked away
with a valuable experience (and hopefully some
new cooking skills). With each edition bringing
a fresh theme, we’re already looking forward
to the next one. Maybe next time, the judges
          should bring bigger plates!
