From The Principal’s Desk
This is why trips like this matter. Science at
Regent is not simply about passing exams: it is
about preparing young people to navigate a
world shaped by technology, climate change,
health challenges and rapid innovation. When
our students visit an institute where science is
improving crops, supporting communities and
protecting the environment, they see that what
they learn in Physics, Chemistry and Biology
can translate directly into impact in Nigeria and
beyond.
Finally, I want to commend our students for the
way they conducted themselves. Staff feedback
has been consistently positive: they were
respectful, responsible and a credit to the school.
Louis Pasteur reminded us that “knowledge
belongs to humanity”; experiences like this help
our students see that they have a place in that
wider scientific community, whatever path they
eventually choose.
In short, even from a distance, it is clear this was
an excellent trip – educationally rich, well-run,
and entirely in line with our vision for Science at
The Regent Secondary School.
