Making music

eyfs music club

We had an excellent time in the music room. The children explored various musical
instruments and discovered the joy of sound. One of the highlights was their introduction to
the ukulele. They made great efforts to hold the instrument, getting a feel for its strings and
learning how to produce different notes. The children also explored the piano, pressing keys

and understanding how each key corresponds
to a different tone. This activity not only

helped them explore melody but also
improved their fine motor skills and
coordination.

The session incorporated an engaging
component through the utilization of
microphones. The children derived enjoyment
from learning the proper handling of the

microphones, practising speaking and singing
into them. This experience played a pivotal
role in bolstering their confidence in
self-expression and familiarizing them with the

rudiments of sound amplification.

The session echoed laughter, curiosity, and

much hands-on learning. The children showed
a budding interest in music that we will
continue to nurture in future classes.
