he moment we entered the museumwe
were greeted with a sea of statuesof all
Tshapes and sizes, they were truly breath-
taking and it’s hard to believe some of them
were made thousands of years ago. We were
shown different sarcophagi of previous Pha-
raohs and their spouses.
There was a certain room that piqued my in-
terest; it was a dimly litroom with all sorts of
precious and semi-precious metals encased in
glass: they were said to belong to the “Boy King”
King Tut, who only lived to the age of 17 after be-
ing king since the age of 9. We saw different de-
pictions of various ancient Egyptian gods. The
god they spoke about the most was Anubis, a
creature with the head of a jackal and the body
of a man, it is the Egyptian god of death and is
one of, if not the most popular Egyptian god.
