Yet, we were undeterred, fully
prepared for the challenge.
With a renewed sense of determination, Friday saw the
boys’ matches come alive in a series of thrilling, nail-bit-
ing games. Benue knew what was at stake; we were
ready, motivated, and focused.
All we had to do was maintain our calm and stay com-
mitted to each game. Our first opponents, Senegal,
were no match for our squad’s energy and precision.
We clinched victory by thrashing them in the first two
games, advancing us straight into the finals.
In the final showdown, we faced Congo, a team
known for its strength and never-ending desire to
win. Each play was more electric than the last, with
fans and teammates cheering us on from the side-
lines. Our hard work and strategy paid off, and we
defeated Congo convincingly, taking first place
for the boys. That gold medal meant more than
just a win for us; it meant redemption and a sig-
nificant shift in the standings of the competition.
With both Benue and Volta each claiming first and
last place, we finished the competition tied at the top.
The boys’ games stood out not only for the com-
petition’s high stakes but also for the energy and
sportsmanship that filled the court. It was an amaz-
ing spectacle for players and fans alike, showcasing
the fierce rivalry among the four houses. The compe-
tition revealed the strength and resilience of our team,
solidifying the idea that with enough determination,
any narrative can be changed.
