There is a myth that an ancestor of Caesar’s was cut from his mother’s womb - hence the name
Caesar, derived from the Latin word ‘Caedare’ (meaning to cut). According to this myth, this is
where the modern term Cesarean section comes from.
Caesar was the only Roman to ever achieve the status of god after his death. He was named Divus
Julius, meaning the Divine Julius.
