KEEP ASKING FOR HELP
I have learnt over many years that,
from CEOs and senior managers to
work placement students and
graduate engineers, people find it
difficult to ask for help. Some believe
it is a failure to ask for the help and
the support of others to deliver their
own tasks, some think they should
have all the answers. Far from failure,
it’s essential to ask for help – and to
keep asking for it. This way we
succeed in achieving our goal or task
more quickly which moves the
business forward and we learn from
others – it is the old adage that two
heads are better than one.
UNTAP THE POTENTIAL
OF OTHERS
It seems a universal truth that when
people are asked how much of their
potential they have realised the
response is invariably about 60-65
per cent. This would suggest we are
in a world of untapped potential.
Imagine what could be achieved in
business if 20 per cent of that
potential could be unleashed. As
leaders it is our job to create the
conditions to make that happen –
then the sky is the limit.
As leaders, we must be clear about WOMEN AS LEADERS
Specifically to women I would say,
