SGN has benefitted from decreased damage to its
network. This is taken from the network operator’s
Stakeholder Engagement Submission 2017/2018:
“We’ve now been using LinesearchbeforeUdig (LSBUD) for
over a year and have been promoting its use with our
stakeholders including agricultural colleges, local
authorities, National Association of Agricultural
Contractors and the National Farmers Union Scotland
(NFUS). Enquiries have increased from 2,500 a month to
47,300 and response time reduced from 15 days to two
minutes. We have seen a corresponding decrease in
damage caused to our network as shown below.”
