Unit Makmal Forensik Hidupan Liar Kebangsaan (MFHLK)
National Wildlife Forensic Laboratory (NWFL) Unit
Pada tahun 2020, bilangan kes yang telah diterima oleh MFHLK mencatatkan penurunan sebanyak
20% iaitu 60 kes berbanding 75 kes pada tahun 2019. Jumlah bilangan sampel yang dianalisa oleh
makmal ini adalah sebanyak 686, mencatatkan penurunan sebanyak 44% berbanding tahun 2019.
Daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes tersebut, kes paling banyak telah diterima daripada Jabatan
PERHILITAN Johor iaitu sebanyak 16 kes dan 210 sampel. Makmal ini juga telah menerima kes daripada
agensi-agensi lain iaitu Jabatan Hidupan Liar Sabah (12 kes), Jabatan Kastam Diraja Malaysia (1 kes),
Sarawak Forestry Corporation (1 kes) dan Jabatan Perkhidmatan Veterinar Negeri Johor (1 kes).
In the year 2020, NWFL had recorded a 20% decrease in the total number of cases, in which 60 cases
were received compared to 75 cases in 2019. The total number of 686 samples were analysed by NWFL
this year, which also saw a 44% decline from last year. Out of the 60 total cases, PERHILITAN Johor
Department recorded the highest number of cases; 16 cases with a total number of 210 samples. This
lab also received cases from other agencies; Sabah Wildlife Department (12 cases), Royal Custom
Department Malaysia (1 case), Sarawak Forestry Corporation (1 case) and Department of Veterinary
Services Johor (1 case).
