Topics include getting started, setting up QuickBooks, working with lists, entering sales and invoices, receiving payments and deposits, entering and paying bills, analyzing financial data, inventory- ing, customizing forms and writing letters. This course is designed for managing small busi- ness financial needs. Topics include creating a new company, setting up bank, inventory, price, (including discounts) customers, vendors and employees. Recording of transactions such as sales (cash or credit), payments received from customers as well as payments made to ven- dors, deposits, acquisition of inventory items and fixed assets, inventory adjustments (based on physical count), receipt of purchased items from vendors and entering bills. Print financial reports and perform financial report analysis. Create payroll schedule, payroll items (earnings & deductions) and employee time sheets. En- ter employee rate, allowance and filing status (Federal & state). Process payroll and generate checks to pay employees. The teacher will pro- vide handouts.
