Still working in the dark when it comes to editing your digital photographs? Step into Lightroom, the electronic darkroom for digital photography. This Lightroom course focuses on the workflow between the camera and Lightroom to get the most from your digital photography. Import, export, organize, and discover techniques for developing your images. This class is hands- on, instructor led by professional photographer Noella Vigeant. Classes are task based and focus on real world scenarios and challenges student face in their day-to-day digital world. People Photography
You don’t need to own a studio to take good people pictures. Learn the art of photographing people from a professional portrait photographer. This hands-on class will give you experience with composition of outstanding candid shots, posed portraits, and techniques for getting great street photography. Class is a combination of controlling camera, light, and subject. Explore natural light, fill flash, and easy to find lighting tools. Make beautiful pictures of the people in your life by using the right camera settings and lenses to get just the right amount of focus and blur in your people photos. $5 materials fee payable to instructor. Bring your camera, camera manual, charged batteries and a tripod if you have one to each class.

In this basic class you will create easy access to connect to your friends, family and the rest of the world through talking, texting and email. Add Facetime to your communication skills and see your family no matter where they are. Experience how easy it is to take a photo and attach it to your iPhone communications. You will set up your contacts and put your world is at your fingertips. This class is for iPhones only. Bring your charged iPhone to class with you Apple id and password. Create custom picture books to share with friends and family. Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements you can have complete control of page design. In this course you will design a book cover, create beautiful custom page layouts, and add text, all while keeping image resolution and page elements aligned for the printing press. Whether you are creating a memory book for your coffee table or a book of family history, this class will give you the tools and skills you will need to publish your photos, drawings, art, and words the way you want them. $5 materials fee payable to instructor. Google Docs
To the Cloud with Google. Docs. Did you know that Google offers a complete online set of document, presentation, spreadsheet tools, and more? Once called “Google Docs” the suite of tools is now called “Google Drive” and lets you develop, store, use, and share your information via the Web. In this class we will get an overview of the tools which make up the Google Docs/Drive set and what features the various tools have in common. You need to have a Google account (gmail or PicasaWeb) so that you can use the tools. (We can set you up in class if necessary.) Google Docs/Drive work via a web browser, so they work on PCs, Macs, smartphones, etc. A general knowledge of your computer is expected, and laptops are welcome.
Social Media 101
Don’t know the difference between a tweet, a pin or a Facebook post? This interactive class is designed for people who are new to the world of Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, and are interested in learning. We’ll explore the basic purpose of each platform. Get ready to expand your social circles and become comfortable with digital communication. Knowledge of Windows 7 required.
