                                                                1 Make a constrictor knot.

                                                                2 Having brought the working end round
                                                                    behind the hand, open out a “diamond”
                                                                    with a bar across, from the under pair of

                                                                    strands.
                                                                3 Lead the working end under, over, under,
                                                                    diagonally through the “diamond." This
                                                                    may be thought of as following a

                                                                    “diamond ladder.”
                                                                4 Bring the working end round behind the

                                                                    hand and up, following the line of the
                                                                    standing part, to commence doubling the
                                                                    knot.
                                                                5 The complete knot doubled.

                                                                6 The complete knot trebled.
